Chapter 1 opens the story of the Czapek revival. The historical brand goes back to 1839, when Franciszek Czapek and Antoni Patek formed a six-year partnership in Geneva called Patek, Czapek & Cie. In 1845 Czapek founded Czapek & Cie with Juliusz Grużewski, and the firm supplied watches to Napoleon III. The modern company was registered in Geneva in 2011 and first presented its Quai des Bergues collection in 2015.
